New Undergraduate Digital Humanities course: CLA3500/GloS4900

This new course is intended for students who seek   research experience in the digital humanities and the technical training it requires, an appreciation of Minnesota’s connections to the wider world, and training in how to write and interpret complex stories and sources for broad, public audiences.

The focus will be on documenting in a digital archive or exhibit the motives and routes and decisions that bring people (past or present) over long distances to Minnesota. (French Canadians or French voyageurs of an earlier period would both be a possibility….and Italian migrants of course!)

For more information or questions, contact the instructor, Prof. Donna Gabaccia, at drg@umn.edu.
