La Farce de maître Pierre Pathelin is a fifteenth-century anonymous medieval farce written originally in French. Free for Macalaster, Saint Thomas, Augsburg College and University of Minnesota Students. Enjoy the silent films of Georges Méliès with live piano accompaniment, as in the 1900’s, and narration. The pianist is none other than the great-great-grandson of Méliès, Lawrence Lehérissey-Méliès, and the narrator the great-granddaughter, Marie-Hélène Lehérissey-Méliès. This program will be presented in French with translations available in the program.
