The departments of German, Scandinavian, and Dutch, French and Italian, and Spanish & Portuguese studies present an opportunity to display your memories from study abroad in the Study Abroad Photo Contest! Each department will vote separately to select a winner and runners-up. The top ten photos will be displayed at an alumni reunion for the departments on April 25th. Alumni, staff, and faculty attending the event will vote to determine the top three photos for the alumni award. First place will win a framed 11 x 15 copy of their photo along with a small gift card.
Admission deadline is Sunday, March 29. Guidelines include a limit of five submissions per entrant, the photos must be from a study abroad experience from Spring, Summer or Fall 2014 or Spring 2015. Last, the photos must have been taken on a study abroad trip sponsored by one of the three participating departments.
Send a digital copy of photos to firstname.lastname@example.org. Print copies can be dropped off in 215 Folwell Hall with student’s name, ID # and mailing address clearly attached. Physical copies of photos will not be returned unless you include an addressed envelope with proper postage.
All submissions are to include a brief story about the photo including its location, time and circumstance. Please include a statement of whether or not you are willing to give the appropriate department permission to post the photo(s) on their websites, Facebook and/or other associated outlets.
