FRIT Lecture: Migrations in Haitian Theater

Join Stéphanie Bérard, a scholar of Caribbean literature and culture as well as Postcolonial Studies and Theater, for a fascinating lecture on Haitian theater and themes of exile and fractured memory.

Learn about the dark journey of Haitian migrants as told through three plays by Haitian playwrights. This lecture will examine how migrational movements disrupt and separate the continuity of memory, with a focus on how drifting memory can attempt keep cultural links alive.
