This summer, the Department of French and Italian Studies at the University of Minnesota will be offering FREN 3018- French Oral Communication! In this course, students will do intensive work in oral expression and listening comprehension in order to increase conversational fluency in French! Students will expand their vocabulary, gain a greater awareness of the social context and appropriateness of registers and styles of spoken French, and increase their knowledge of Francophone cultures from around the world. This 3 credit class will run Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays starting on May 22 through June 29th, 2017. FREN 3015 is the prerequisite for this course, and it is recommended that students take FREN 3014, which covers Parisian French phonetics.
